Who is eligible to participate in Intramural Sports?

All valid students (Western Illinois University students only) with a student ID card are eligible to participate.

Employees/Alumni of the University who purchase a membership to the Spencer Student Recreation Center are eligible to compete in Intramural Sports activities unless specifically noted in the literature for that event.

When are Intramural Sports played?

Intramural Sports are typically played Monday-Thursday between 4:00pm-11:00pm. There are some weekend tournaments. Teams usually play once a week but could play more depending on the event. Please click on the specific sport information to find out exact times.

What types of leagues/divisions are offered?

Our most common division is Open, as this is open for anyone to play! Intramural Sports also may offer Men's, Women's, Co-Rec, Competitive or Social divisions.

What if I am interested in playing a team sport but don't have a team to play on?

You can register as a free agent on IMLeagues and teams can add you to their roster if they wish!
