How do I sign up?

Students must sign up on imleagues.com/widener to be eligible for Intramural sports.  To sign up visit the IMLeagues website and create an account with your Widener e-mail address.  Once an imleagues account has been created, simply go to the league or event page that you are interested in and click on "Create/Join Team". From there you can either create your own team and invite other players to join OR you can join a team for which you were either invited or would like to request to join. You also have the option to join the league as a free agent and will be placed on a team by the Pride Recreation Staff. Please feel free to contact the Pride Recreation Coordinator with any questions. Also check out our instructional page for more detailed instructions!

I am a former intercollegiate player; can I still participate in the intramural sports program?

An individual who has completed their intercollegiate eligibility (i.e., the player has not been active on an NCAA roster for a year), or is a rostered varsity athlete will be permitted to play on an intramural team in that sport or a related sport, but they must abide by the specified varsity athlete ratio listed in the handbook. For example, no more than two former or current intercollegiate athletes (no more than a total of two varsity athletes regardless of gender) can be on the same sport roster as their collegiate sport.

I am a sport club member; can I still participate in the intramural sports program?

Sport Club members will be eligible to participate in the intramural sports program; however, only two club sport athletes, per intramural team regardless of gender, are eligible to participate in the corresponding intramural sport. The presence of any varsity athletes on the team will reduce the number of available spots for club sport members in the associated sport. Specified varsity and club member ratios may be found in the Intramural Handbook under the "Handbook and Manual" tab on the Sport homepage.

What is the forfeit policy?

All teams must pay a $20.00 forfeit deposit at the mandatory captains meeting prior to a league schedule being created. If your team does not forfeit any games – you get your money back!  Your team is permitted to have one default where teams call us in advance to reschedule their game. Teams are only granted one default per sport, per season. Large roster sizes help discourage teams from needing to forfeit games as well as communicating with our Recreation Coordinator of Intramurals.
