• Two. Each participant may play on one single sex team and one coed team. Signing in for a team on site, is the same as playing for a team. See below for possible combinations:
• Allowed: 1 Men's Recreational Team and 1 Coed Team
• Not Allowed: 1 Men's Recreational Team and 1 Men's Fraternity Team - Both teams are males only (single sex)

• To make an account on IM Leagues, you must register online at IMLEAGUES.COM
• You must use your UTK email & password when you register!

• Go to "Player Signup" and click on Join Team.
• Find the sport and then select the league you would like to join.
• Choose the division that suits you

• Participants may be added to a team's roster throughout the regular season and postseason.
• Participants must be on the official roster by 2:00 p.m. the day of the team's game in order to be eligible for competition that night. Therefore, we advise all captains to thoroughly check their team's roster online to ensure that all players are present the day before their game and contact our office if you have any issues with your team's roster.

• Each participant is required to wear proper or appropriate footwear for play. For indoor activities, they must be non-marking court shoes. For outdoor activities, cleats may be worn provided they are rubber molded. Metal, metal tipped, spikes, screw in cleats, or cleats with ceramic exposed are prohibited. Boots, flip-flops, vibram toe shoes, and chacos are prohibited as well.

• Also, the dates are on Recsports website, recsports.utk.edu. Go to intramurals and click the event calendar for all the sports this semester.

• If a team notifies the intramural office of their inability to field the required number of participants for their game, no later than 2:00 p.m. on the day of the contest, it will be marked as a default. No forfeit fine is charged to the defaulting team.

• If you don't have a team, you can become a free agent on imleagues.com. Go under Player Signup and click "Join as Free Agent". After that, choose the sport, then the league, and finally the division (timeslot) that you're available to participate in.

• NO. Do not assume that games will be cancelled. During inclement weather, intramural sports activities may be delayed, postponed, or cancelled. We will make every reasonable effort to inform participants of cancellation via email, Facebook, Twitter and the Intramural Sports Weather Hotline (865-974-2307). In all cases participants are responsible for checking the weather hotline and the hotline will be the best source of information regarding intramural sports activities. A decision on the status of games is usually made by 3:00 PM and will be constantly monitored throughout the evening.

• Taping of jewelry is not permitted. No jewelry may be worn by any participant during an intramural activity. All participants are expected to remove all jewelry prior to the start of the contest. This is a safety rule that applies to any and all jewelry. No exceptions will be made for jewelry that is intended to be permanent or not removable for any reason. Jewelry including rings, necklaces, studs, watches, bracelets etc. Medical bracelets are permitted but must be tapped down.

• No. Participants must present their University of Tennessee VolCard or current Recreation Membership card in order to participate. Students, faculty, and staff are allowed to utilize Recreational Sports facilities and programs once per semester should the individual lose or misplace his or her VolCard. This is called the ID Forgiveness Policy. 

• An objective scale by which teams' attitude and behavior can be assessed throughout the intramural sports season.

• All participants removed from a contest are ineligible from further competition in any intramural activity until reinstated by the Intramural Sports Coordinator. To be reinstated, the ejected player must e-mail or call the Intramural Sports Office and sschedule an appointment to seel reinstatement.

• No. If the score is tied when the time runs out, the game will end in a tie. During postseason, the rules will change depending on the sport.

• Go to the recsports.utk.edu. Click on "Intramurals" and then "Sports Rules" to find the rules for all the intramural sports.

• When a team cannot participate in an intramural game and calls or emails someone at the Intramural Office before 3:00pm telling us that the team cannot play.

• A forfeit occurs when a team does not have the minimum number of players present and legally signed in at game time.

• Players may only play on one single gender team and one CoRec team in the same sport. Therefore, a participant may NOT play for men's Res Hall team and a Fraternity team.

• The majority of intramural activities are FREE to UT students who have paid their student activities fees, and all faculty and staff who have paid membership fees to RecSports. 

• We hire sports officials before the start of our officiated intramural sports. Come to the training and have some general knowledge of sports and the desire to learn.

• The person that is designated as captain on your intramural team.

• Sport clubs are led and organized by students. Team practices, meetings, competitions, and fundraisers are led by club officers and club members. Sport clubs practice multiple times per week, and many travel to compete against other schools. Intramurals consist of UT students, faculty, and staff who compete against each other in organized leagues and tournaments within the UT community on a more recreational level.

To qualify for postseason competition, teams must meet the following criteria:

• Finish in 1st or 2nd place within the team's division (time slot) with a .500 or better winning percentage OR finish the regular season with no more than 1 loss;
• Completion of the captain's quiz;
• Zero no-show forfeits;
• Have a sportsmanship rating of 3.0 or better

• You can pay your forfeit fine in the administrative offices of TREC.

• If you are a currently enrolled student taking classes and have paid your fees, you are eligible to play intramurals.

• No. You must sign up on imleagues before 2pm the day of your game in order to be eligible to play.
