No.  There are many jobs involved in running our events besides sports officiating.  If you are an experienced, trained, or certified sports official for any sport that we offer, we definitely want to hear from you and set up a visit during our next hiring cycle.  However, if you’re not a trained sports official, you are still eligible to join our staff!  We offer some limited training for those who would like to become referees after they join our program.

ACCOUNT INFO: I have an IM Leagues account but have forgotten my password. Now what?

No problem.  So long as you still have the same email account that you used to sign up, you can visit the IM Leagues login page and click on the link for them to email you a temporary password to regain access.

ACCOUNT INFO: I've forgotten my password & dropped my old email address. Now what?

If you have created an account on IM Leagues before, don’t create a second one, even if your email address has changed, or you've forgotten your password, or have previously been a member of a different school's network on this website.  Creation of a 2nd account on IM Leagues will delay your access to sports & event registration.  If you need help accessing your original account, contact the IM Leagues administrators.  You can chat online with them during regular business hours.  You’ll find a live chat link at the bottom of the page at www.imleagues.com.

FREE AGENCY: I just signed up as a free agent. Now what?

Go the home page of the league you just joined and look at which teams are short of the maximum roster limit and which ones are looking for players.  You can send join requests thru IM Leagues to as many captains as you would like.  Keep in mind that once a team captain accepts your request, changing teams will not be an option (especially after your first game of the season).

FREE AGENCY: I’d like to sign up but don’t have a team. Can I still play?

Yes – if you can find a team that is looking for extra players.  Sign up as a free agent.  You may be able to find a team that will pick you up.  After registering as a free agent, you can send requests thru IM Leagues to current team captains to see if any of them is looking for extra players.

REGISTRATION: How do I find out what sports & trips are being offered?

A list of current and upcoming seasons is posted at www.imleagues.com/UAH.  Sometimes prior leagues will also be listed in this same location.  Future leagues will generally be hosted in the same time frame the next year that former leagues were offered, though this is not always the case.

REGISTRATION: Why are copies of my ID cards needed?

Our registration process is designed to verify the identity & eligibility of each participant - that's why we ask for copies of your license or passport, student ID, and UFC membership card the first time you sign up. After your IM Leagues account has been established and accepted into the UAH network on this website, you'll find it easy to sign up for future leagues & events.

REGISTRATION: Why is online pre-registration required?

Online pre-registration helps us to ensure that all participants are eligible, that no teams exceed their maximum roster limits, that every player on the roster has actually chosen to join the team, and that no player appears on two rosters in the same league.

REGISTRATION: How soon will my request to join the UAH network be approved?

Requests to join the UAH network are generally approved about once a week, or sometimes more often during the height of a registration period.  The best thing you can do to expedite your request is to (1) email copies of your license or passport, and student ID and/or UFC membership card to recreation@uah.edu, and (2) mail or deliver a hard copy of your liability release form if you are younger than 19 (see below for details) before you request to join the UAH network.  If your request to join our network is processed before we receive your ID copies and/or liability release form, a temporary hold will be placed on your account until those items are received.

REGISTRATION: How do I create a team or sign up as a free agent?
  1. Log in to your IM Leagues account.
  2. Go to www.imleagues.com/UAH and click on the league that you'd like to play in.  On the next screen, click on the green "Register/Signup" box that appears near the middle of the screen.
  3. Hold your cursor over the “Player Signup” block in the upper right hand corner of your screen.  A drop down menu will appear, allowing you to select between “Create Team”, “Join Team”, or “Free Agent”.  Pick one.
  4. Complete the pre-season quiz.  The quiz answers can be found in the "Charger Recreation Sports Guide" file at www.imleagues.com/UAH under the "Info" tab (on the left hand side of the screen) and the "Handbooks & Manuals" link.
  5. Agree to the liability release statement (the ‘accept’ button will be at the bottom of the statement).
  6. Provide the cell phone number of a parent, guardian, or spouse to call if you are injured.  The phone number should be 10 straight digits without dashes, slashes, dots, spaces, etc.
  7. Provide a team name, if you are creating a team.
  8. Write a statement about yourself at the bottom of the registration if you are registering as a free agent.
  9. If you are submitting a request to join a team, you may want to follow up with a text or phone call to the team captain to ask if they will accept your request to join.  If you are accepting an invitation received from a team captain, double check the team roster on the team’s home page to make sure your name appears on it after you register.  If not, your registration may not have gone thru. Contact your captain for assistance.  If there is a technical issue, IM Leagues or the Recreation Director can assist you.  If you are joining the team after the season has started, your name must appear on the roster by the preceding Thursday at noon in order to play in the games for the upcoming weekend.

REGISTRATION: I missed the pre-season registration period. Can I still play?

Yes – if you can find a team that is looking for extra players..  Teams can only be created during pre-season registration, but you can join a league as a free agent between Mondays & Thursdays any week before the end of the regular season and then try to get picked up by one of the current teams. Read above for more instruction on how to sign up as free agent.  If you are not able to get on a team before the season begins, you may want to come hang around the field or court on the first day or two of our league and talk to the team captains in person.
