Who can play in this Holiday Basketball Tourney?

The Co-Rec Tournament on Friday, December 9th is open to only The College of St. Scholastica and University of WI-Superior intramural sports and club teams including all other students, faculty, and staff.
The Men's and Women's Tournaments on Saturday, December 10th are open to all College/University intramural sports and club teams including other students, faculty, and staff of those institutions.
The following eligibility rules are in effect:
1) All teams must be current students, faculty, or staff from any two or four year college or university.
2)Faculty/Staff members of a respective institution are allowed to compete for that institution if that institution’s intramural program policies permit such action.
3)Alumni/Spouses are not allowed to represent an institution regardless of the institutions policies.
4)Each member of the team must meet the following eligibility criteria:
a. Must be currently enrolled student or presently employed by the representing institution.
b. Must represent the same institution they are a member of
c. May not be a current member of a varsity/JV team (including red-shirt) or have played varsity/JV the preceding academic year.
d. Cannot have been a professional in any related activity.
5)All other eligibility rules are governed by the representing institution’s intramural program. The Intramural Director must sign off on the team roster verifying each team member meets the above stated criteria.

When & Where will games be played?
|
|
The Co-Rec Tournament between CSS & UWS will be played on Friday, December 9th from 6:00-10:00 PM in the Marcovich Wellness Center on UW-Superior's campus. Games will be held in both the Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium & the Thering Fieldhouse. A captains meeting will be held 30 minutes prior to your first game.
The Men's and Women's Tournaments with all other colleges/universitites will be held on Saturday, Dec 10th from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (or whenever finished). A captains meeting will be held 30 minutes prior to your first game.

What is the cost to play in the tournament?
|
|
This tournament is a fundraiser to support The American Red Cross. A $50 team entry fee is required to play. Please make your check or money order payable to UW-Superior Campus Rec. All payments must be postmarked by November 29th. Please send all payments to:

When is my Team Registration due?
|
|
Registration is due Tuesday, November 29th by 12:00 PM!
You will need to create an account on IMLeagues.com to register your team using your college/university issued email address. Join the CSS/UWS Holiday Bball school.
If you already have an IMLeagues.com account, sign into your account, go the Search Box and search: “CSS/UWS Holiday Bball”. Join the school & create your team.

How many games is our team guanteed?
|
|
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 games. The total number of games will be dependent of the number of teams registered in the co-rec men’s and women’s tournaments. If you win, you keep playing!

What should I bring with me to the tourney?
|
|
(1) Teams will be required to bring their own jerseys (light and dark) with legal numbers on at least one of the sides. Contact your Intramural Sports director to obtain jerseys if you cannot provide your own. (2)All team members must have a valid university student ID and present it to the scorer’s table at team check-in before each game. (3) Don't forget your ballin' shoes! (4) Bring a positive attitude & good sportsmanship. (5) UWS will have a concessions stand, so no need to pack tons of food.
