Do I need my Berry ID to play or can I use my driver's license?

In order to participate, you must bring your Berry ID. No alternate forms of identification will be used for replacement. Additionally, your name on the roster will not act as an alternative to your Berry ID.

Is game time forfeit time?

We allow a grace period of five minutes for your team to arrive and properly check in. After five minutes, it is standard procedure to consider the late team's game a forfeit. However, it will be up to the supervisor's discretion to make the call.

Will everyone on the team get charged the $25 forfeit fee?

No, only the team captain will be charged the $25 forfeit fee.

Can I tape down the jewelry that I can't remove?

No.  Jewelry is not permitted, unless it is a medical ID bracelet.

Can I have a last minute default?

No. Notification of a default must be made within a 24 hour interval of game time during a M-F game and by noon the Friday before on a Saturday/Sunday game.

What if no one can make the captain's meeting?

Team captains or team representatives have until the next morning to contact the Department of Recreation about rescheduling a time for the meeting. Teams that fail to attend will be removed from the game schedule entirely.

Will I be able to give someone my time preferences to play?

Yes, the Department of Recreation will try to schedule games at times requested by participating teams. However, specific accomodations is not always possible and there is no guarantee of a requested playing time. The priority is in providing all teams proper playing time within the scheduled time duration of the league.

How does the sportsmanship rating scale work?

Team sportsmanship ratings are given on a scale from 0-4.

4 points: normal game
3 points: minor incident
2 points: difficulty
1 point: harassment/ejections
0 points: major incidents (qualifies as a season ending rating)

Teams must have an average of 2.75 or better during the regular season league games in order to be eligible for playoffs.

How will I be updated on information or any changes that develop?

Participants are encouraged to download the REC*IT app for most updates. However, IMLeagues has resources and updates that may not be available on the app.

You may pick up the T-shirts the next day in rm. 214 in the Cage.

What is the Viking Cup?

This is an award given to the top women's and men's group that have earned the most points from each sport or event during the course of the academic year. Points are given based on league/tournament participation, sportsmanship points, and  post-season points for A/coed leagues. Points are deducted per penalty incurred for each forfeit. Points are differentiated by team points and single/double points.

The winners are recognized at the end of the academic year, and team names are added to the banner hanging in the MAC Gym.

No, only students are eligible to win the Viking Cup.
