How do individual/duel sports operate?
The way we run individual/duel sports is by providing a play-by-date for participants. We e-mail out all the necessary information to team representatives and they contact their weekly opponent to play before the date listed. Not at the day listed. The purpose of the date is to make sure everyone has their scores in by that time. Individual/duel sports are self-officiated games, as our intramural staff does not supervise these contests, with the exception of one day tournaments.

Am I guaranteed games if I sign up a team?
It varies based on interest. Some sports may not fill up their leagues, and in this case we do our best to accommodate teams. If nothing can be done we will return the forfeit bond to the captain.

What happens to forfeit bond money that is not returned?
The money is placed into our Sports Officials Association (SOA) account. It is used primarily for officials who travel to extramural tournaments or officiating clinics. The money is also used to purchase new sports equipment and stay up to date with our sports.
