I cannot create a team because I cannot pass the captain quiz. What do I do?

After you've taken the quiz, there is a tab where you can click and view the right and wrong answers. Captain's quizzes are meant to be informative, which is why we allow you to retake the quiz as many times until you understand the standard Intramural rules.

How do I join a team?
Search for the sport, league, and team that you want to join and select "Join Team." A request is sent to the team captain that a member would like to join the team. It is then up to the team captain to accept your request. If the team is full or if the captain does not know you, they may not accept you onto the team.

What is a free agent?

Free agents are people who want to play Intramural sports but do not have a team they can join. Sign up as a free agent by clicking on the league and sport you want to play in, and click "Join as free agent" on the right side of the screen. Depending on how many free agents are signed up for the sport, the Intramural staff will create a team for them after the registration period is closed.

What are "special events"?

Unlike the traditional sports we offer that are scheduled to run the entire quarter, special events are contests that occur in one day. Intramural Sports offers tournaments that are highly requested by the student population, and a lot of them are becoming annual events. The registrartion process for the special events are the same as any other quarterly sport. Have a sugestion on what we should offer? Please come by the recreation center office to talk to an Intramural staff member to see if we can get your idea kick started.

Can I create a team after the registration deadline?

No, you cannot. The Intramural staff will be constructing the regular season schedule shortly afterwards. You may join a team that has already been created.

What if it is after the deadline, how do I join a team?

You may request to join teams on imleagues by clicking "join team" next to the team's name in the league, but there is no guarantee the captain will pick you up. Some teams may not want any more players.

I would also recommend showing up the first day/night of sports, and see which teams need extra people. From experience, face to face interaction is the best way to ask.
