How do I create an account on imleagues?

Visit the Butler University Intramural homepage and use the "Register Now" link. You must be a Butler student, faculty, or staff member with a valid Butler username.  If you are having any problems creating your account, please contact the Recreation Office at imsports@butler.edu.

How do I form an Intramural Team?
You can form a team of residence hall, fraternity, sorority, or any mix of students that follow our eligibility guidelines in the IM Handbook. If you haven't found enough members for a team we encourage you to use our Intramural Sports Facebook group: "Butler University Intramural Sports", or sign up as a free agent on this site. We also offer many individual sports such as table tennis, homerun derby, euchre, sports trivia, and Punt, Pass & Kick.

How do I sign up for an Intramural Sport?

How to sign up for an intramural sport:

  1. Log in to your IMLeagues.com account.
  2. Click the Create/Join Team button at the top right of your User Homepage page OR Click on the “Butler University” link to go to Butler's homepage on IMLeagues.
  3. The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join.
  4. Choose the league you wish to play in (Men’s, Women’s, Co-Rec)
  5. Choose the division you wish to play in (Sunday 5-7pm, etc.)
  6. You can join the sport one of three ways:
    • Create a team (For team captains) Captains can invite members to their team by clicking the “Invite Members” link on the team page. Any invited members must accept the invitation to be joined to your team. If they’ve already registered on IMLeagues: search for their name, and invite them. If they haven’t yet registered on IMLeagues: scroll down to the “Invite by Email Address” box, and input their email address.
    • Join a team: Use the Create/Join Team Button at top right of every page
      • Accepting a request from the captain to join his team
      • Finding the team and captain name on division/league page and requesting to join
      • Going to the captain’s playercard page, viewing his team, and requesting to join
    • Join as a Free Agent: you can list yourself as a free agent in as many divisions within a league as you’d like. You will be visible to all members of the site and can request to join teams, or post information about yourself so teams can request to add you to their team.

What is the difference between a League Sport and a Special Event?
League Sports have a 3-4 week regular season followed by a single elimination tournament and is usually officiated by student officials (exception-Ultimate Frisbee). Special Events are usually non-officiated sports and occur over a 1-2 day period (check the sport schedule or email imsports@butler.edu if you have any questions)

What is a Captains' Quiz?

A captain's quiz is a mandatory quiz that must be completed by the captain before the team can be created.  This year, captain's quizzes will be taking the place of a captain's meeting.  It is to ensure that the captain's are reading and passing along all of the rules to their teammates before the season starts.
