You can avoid a forfeit by emailing the graduate assistant of competitive sports or imsports@westga.edu before 2pm the day of your game to inform them of your team's absence. 

This is called a Default. If your team defaults it still shows up as a loss but you will not be charged a fine and your sportsmanship will be unaffected.

This is called a foreit. Your game will be marked as a loss and your team will recieve a 1 sportsmanship for that game (your team must have an average sportsmanship of 3 to make it to playoffs). Your captain will also be charged a forfeit fee of $15 and be suspended from play until the fee is paid. The team captain will receive an email detailing how to pay the fee electronically by credit/debit card, or by check in the Campus Center.

A tournament sport is a 1 day bracket style tournament. You do not need to sign up in advance if you do not wish to (but it would make it easier on you to sign up before arriving to the tournament). Depending on the amount of participants, there may be more than 1 tournament. The winner of each tournament will recieve a champ shirt.

A league sport is a 3 to 4 week long season where your team is scheduled 1 game a week. After the 3 to 4 week regular season, depending on your sportsmanship, your team will be scheduled for the playoff tournament to compete for a champ shirt.

A Corec league is a league made for teams made up of men and women. Depending on the sport, there will be regulations on the amount of men and women allowed to play at one time.

An Open league is a league made for teams made up of any gender identity. There are no gender regulations. Most of our tournament sports are Open.
