Bedford features an optimal playing surface for field hockey in a revolutionary artificial turf field, which was replaced prior to the 2016 season and includes a built-in watering system. The playing surface was designed with the ability to hold a consistent amount water over a longer period of time, while providing a fast enough surface and enough drainage to prevent puddles.
