    George Ackerman Park

A beautiful baseball field located right on campus, George Ackerman Park was named after the late coach and professor George Ackerman. Ackerman coached baseball, football, and basketball and was inducted into the Athletic/Alumni Hall of fame in 1984.

The field dimensions are 330 feet down the left-field line, 400 to straightaway center, and 330 feet to the right-field corner. The names of every player to earn All-American honors while wearing a Lions uniform are showcased on the outfield fence.
