Made possible with two generous gifts from Dennis Punches ’58, the 400-meter, eight-lane track was finished in spring 2008 and has a natural turf infield for field events. The bio-engineered Beynon artificial surface on the running track is environmentally friendly and creates a shock-absorbing cushion that is safer for athletes and can be customized for use in widely varying temperatures.
